I might have a solution

I remembered yesterday that I have another drive shaft. Since the u-joint is on the back part of the drive shaft I should be able to take the 2 drive shafts apart and use the shortened end on the good back end. Not to mention my old drive shaft has a brand new center bearing that I installed a year before the 4 speed came out of the car. My problem though is getting the thing balanced, I have to find a place that could do this. The good thing is that the tempatures are dropping to more comfortable levels to be able to work outside on the car.
